Fuse Go through proper applications and to explain the differences in fuse rating. To ensure proper fuses are installed at your facility.
Lock out tag out Safety is always first. We go through step by step the lock out tag out requirements and bring the different products along to show how to us them properly.
Lighting analysis Why the new fluorescent lighting is a better choice. How much money you can be save by using less electricity, increase production. Help companies take advantage of the current rebate programs Motor Vibration We will cover what a motor vibration testing can uncover and how it can help you. Typical problems that can be located: - Unbalance
- Bad Bearings
- Mechanical Looseness
- Worn Gears
- Misalignment
- Electrical Problems
- More electricity being wasted
Power quality Manufacturers are confronted by a broad range of potential power quality disturbances, many of them specific to the production process, product line and industry represented. Notwithstanding the individuality of each manufacturing operation, a number of potential power quality problems are possible. Among them are the following examples of typical problems and solutions. - Severe Voltage Sag
- Failure of Variable Speed Drives
- Rectifier Spikes
- PC Software Lockups
- We will examine the causes and offer solutions
Motor Balancing Learn the effects of reducing current draw to save money. For example, by reducing (1) amp per year of operating time, a company will save almost $400 per year per motor. Experience has shown that by balancing motors to within acceptable levels, motor amperage will decrease by 1 to 2 amps. Arc Flash In this presentation, we will be discussing the proper application, use and care of OSHA 70e compliant clothing, gloves and tools for personal protection from Arc Flash potential. We focus on the proper application and use of PPE for preventing ARC FLASH injury. This will include a "walk through" of the code as it applies to PPE, a presentation of Cal 20 clothing, 500V gloves and 100V rated tools. In addition, proper sizing of clothing and gloves, care and equipment replacement will be discussed.
Thermal Imaging Whether inside Motor Control Centers, or an outside substation, infrared cameras can quickly check electrical systems for hot spots caused by loose connections, damage, overload and other problems, before they cause further damage. Infrared cameras allow you to inspect hundreds of connections per day, and assign the level of severity for each problem based on temperature. This unique capability can save a company thousands of dollars per incident. Analysis of each anomaly allows a client to prioritize what repairs are needed.
Surge Suppression There are many different types of surge suppression available depending on the facility and the type of protection you are looking for. Your equipment may be failing or not operating properly and the cause may be spikes. We will go through the differences to help you determine if you need one and if so which one.
Insurance coverage With over 25 years experience in designing custom property and casualty insurance plans, American Insurance Agency, Inc. are experts in insuring industrial and manufacturing companies. As experts, they help companies determine the “right” policy coverage by addressing such questions as: - Do I insure my equipment for Actual Cash Value or Replacement Cost?
- Does insurance cover my monthly, continued expenses (e.g. payroll and utilities) and extra expenses when I’ve suffered a “covered loss?”
- Can you provide insurance to cover employee disputes?
- How can I improve my experience modifier for Worker's Compensation?
